Senor Lopez Baja Poncho Mexican Hoodie Pullover

Not sure what a Senor Lopez poncho is? That is okay, most people are not familiar with the name but you have seen one before. This sweatshirt is often known as a Mexican baja hoodie pullover or a Mexican poncho. The only problem with the name of Mexican Poncho is that a real poncho does not have a hood and sleeves like this pullover sweatshirt has.

Maybe you saw one on Will Smith in the movie Hancock, in fact in any movie where they are trying to make people look grungy, they will have them wear a baja hoodie. The reason being that they have adopted a certain feel among Americans.

Fashion Hoodies

The Baja surf hoodie was introduced to American in the 1970's and 1980's when they became very popular, but nobody embraced this movement more than the hippies. For this reason they are called drug rugs by most Americans now. But it does not mean that you do drugs if you wear a baja poncho.

They are great for many reasons, one being that they come in tons of colors. There are literally thousands of different colors to choose from. Most of them will have 3 colors with one color being the more dominate color and then smaller stripes of 2 other colors. There are some that are very colorful and have every color of the rainbow. The most famous color is the Rasta hoodie because of it's green, yellow, black and red colors. This is a very popular one among Bob Marley fans.
